We don’t seek to rehabilitate but rather to regenerate. To rehabilitate is to return to a former state and we don’t want to do that with an addict, but instead, we want to regenerate him in to who God created him to be. We deal with the heart issue behind the addiction because we believe the addiction is just a symptom of a deeper problem. If the deeper issues are resolved then we wholeheartedly believe that addiction can be cured.
Cross Roads Recovery was founded in 2015 by Brad and Jodi Sappe. Addiction is personal to the Sappes as Brad struggled for the better part of twelve years with drug addiction. Brad visited detox centers and completed a few programs over the years and eventually found freedom in 2013. Brad went to No Longer Bound in Cumming, Georgia for a ten-month program in February of 2013 and came home to his family in December of that year. NLB was the vessel that God used to regenerate Brad and restore the relationship with his family. It wasn’t long after returning that Brad knew he was being called to help other men find what he found. In Feb. of 2015 Brad and Jodi began the process of organizing the ministry and applying for 501c3 non-profit status. By July of 2015, Cross Roads Recovery Ministries Inc. was an approved 501c3 non-profit organization & the work began.
The first resident entered the program in December of 2015 and to date Cross Roads has helped hundreds of men and counseled countless families along the way.
Transition Program: We want to come along side men who have completed recovery programs or had significant periods of sobriety. We help them walk out recovery in the real world by working through our unique curriculum model, being held accountable, and living with like- minded people. All of this takes place while being mentored and guided by our staff. We exist to see men become regenerated, restored and reconciled with their loved ones.
Cross Roads Recovery currently offers a 6-12 month residential, transition program. Our curriculum at Cross Roads Recovery focuses on maintaining sobriety while being a productive member of society. At Cross Roads, we help resolve emotional wounds, repair distorted or broken belief systems and restore relational health.
We believe that recovery is possible and our goal is to offer recovering addicts everything they need for long term sobriety.
Our long term vision is to have 50-100 acres situated somewhere in Central Georgia.
We envision boarding houses where the men will live, a dining hall, conference center, office space, counseling quarters & classrooms. We also envision a recovery community where recovery is valued and walked out every day. We envision our program becoming a leader for recovery in our State and eventually in the South East. Our long-term vision is to have a “Community” of Recovery that helps hundreds each year & is an asset to the communities we serve.
Our entire program is modeled after No Longer Bound, in Cumming, Georgia (founded by Mike Harden) that has successfully operated for over thirty years. NLB is like a big brother to CRRM and is a strategic partner in this work. Their program works, this program works and we are honored to use the same principles and curriculum that we know helps instill lasting recovery.
